Environment
Choosing between environmental exploitation and sustainability is more than making a statement or sharing a tweet. We not only take pride in the choices we make despite the challenges involved in opting for a less common path but also work towards building a happier world through our initiatives.
At Alkem, we are committed to contributing to the betterment of the environment because what we do today will shape the destinies of the generations to come.
Our commitments and targets
- To reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42% by FY 33 from base year FY 23
- To achieve y-o-y 1% reduction in energy consumption from the projected energy requirement of each year till FY 33
- To achieve water neutrality across operations by FY 30
- To ensure more than 90% reuse/recycling of non-hazardous wastes by FY 25

Our commitments and targets
- To obtain ISO 45001 certification for more than 75% sites by FY 26
- To increase overall gender diversity to 5% by FY 27
- Quarterly engagement with local communities with effect from FY 24
- To have QR codes on primary packaging of more than 75% of domestic products by FY 26
- Signed-up as Associate Member of PSCI
- To screen 90% of new suppliers on ESG criteria with effect from FY 25
- Evaluation of identified critical suppliers in the following manner:
- 10% by FY 25
- 35% by FY 26
- 70% by FY 27
- >90% by FY 28
Governance
